Autumn Inspired Self Care Ideas This World Mental Health Day
Today is World Mental Health Day and it provides us with a beautiful invitation and opportunity to gently discuss this very nuanced & multi-layered subject that, in one way or another, will affect most of us at some point in our lives.
There are many ways in which we can support our mental health and it’s good to be reminded that any act of self care that nurtures your mind, body & soul, is not selfish. Taking time just for you is absolutely imperative, particularly in this very fast-paced world, where expectations & external pressures are high.
I read an interesting statistic the other day that said that searches for “how to meet new people” are on the rise. Post-pandemic, this is no surprise & people are seeking human connection that enables us to thrive. The support, nurture and empowerment we garner from feeling connected, are intrinsic to our mental health and that’s why I feel so passionate & proud of the community I am creating.
CONNECTION & COMMUNITY CAN CREATE HAPPINESS
Connection is at the heart of a flourishing community & this in-turn reduces loneliness, boosts confidence and enables each person to feel like they are a part of something bigger. I am acutely aware also that meeting new people can cause a lot of anxiety for some people.
Stepping outside of the self-preservation walls that have been so delicately and thoughtfully constructed can feel like a mountain too big to even contemplate sometimes, but let me assure you of this; little-by-little, step by step, you will find a way to deconstruct that wall, from which you will create a divine and golden path that leads you to a future that is so bright and beautiful.
REMINDERS FOR TOUGH DAYS
You have to trust in yourself, believe in your abilities, cut yourself some slack & take each step as it comes. Here are a few reminders and ideas for tough days:
• This too shall pass
• The only way out is through
• You have the tools and courage within you to overcome anything that comes your way
• The cure for anything is salt water; tears, sweat or the sea
• Sharing how you feel can lighten the load
• Time in Nature will help to clear the mind
• Keep facing forwards and take one step at a time
• Be mindful if your self talk
• Trust in yourself
HOT GIRL WELLNESS WALK
With connection & community being at the very heart of my business, I am so delighted to share with you that I am creating something sooooo cool that sits perfectly alongside my wellness boxes, workshops & retreats.
Very soon, I am going to be hosting my very first Hot Girl Wellness Walk! Think: sea air, connection, good vibes, zero judgment, positivity, support, chats, juice, journals & smiles.
The Hot Girl Wellness Walk is open to everybody and it’s completely free. There will be a charge for the juice & journal (which is optional and will be enjoyed after the walk, where we can chat, catch-up & write our intentions, notes & dreams in our journals!)…I am always looking for ways to bring people together, to make connections and to expand the NourishMe Community and by adding some wholesome juices & some exclusive stationery, it’s going to be an epic mini event!
Stay-tuned for more information.
Please always remember just how precious you are. Please always reach out if you need to talk and please always put yourself and your mental health first.
All my love & encouragement,
Holly xxx
